Soccer camps have grown significantly in popularity over the last five years with many celebrity footballers and football clubs setting up their own professional soccer camps. These camps are often for children aged six to sixteen and provide and great place for kids to relax and develop their football skills. So why do so many parents send their kids to such camps?

One of the most attractive features of soccer camps is their international course locations. Clubs and other organisations have camps all over the world including America and Dubai. This makes them an extremely attractive prospect for parents as they can enjoy the delights of foreign countries while their kids are off enjoying football training sessions with some of the biggest names in football.

The UK is a world leader in the kid's soccer camps industry and attracts visitors from all over the world. Many of the leading clubs have their own soccer schools and offer that little bit extra with many of their camps. For example some offer language classes during their camp experience while others offer the chance to play in amazing locations or win match tickets. Essentially, clubs offer very attractive packages to parents and make them accessible to all.

Kids who attend soccer camps have a real passion for football and are often looking to develop their skills in a more intensive manner. This type of training cant be gained at schools and after school classes as they often dont have the facilities or coaching staff to achieve this. At professional soccer camps kids often get access to the very latest football technology and equipment and are able to learn from highly experienced coaches. Essentially, kids train in very similar ways to the professionals but enjoyment is at the forefront of almost all camps.

A typical soccer camp will run for around a week. This means that kids get to stay on site in a secure and fun environment. Kids get to interact with other children who have similar interests. This is important for any childs development and something many parents are keen to encourage. Soccer camps will provide after training activities and provide a real holiday experience for the children. It's a place where they can relax and have a holiday that interests them.

Although soccer schools are growing in popularity in the UK many clubs abroad are yet to establish high profile soccer camps. It is important for parents to have a good selection when choosing a soccer camp and they can be left in a safe and secure environment. Many of the lower league clubs are also yet to offer such camps. This is important as it allows for parents with tighter budgets to let their kids get some proper football training.

When choosing a soccer camp, there are a couple of things to look for. The key concern is safety but some thought should also be given to the intensity and level of training your child receives. Some camps are more intensive than others and in turn some are not suitable for everyone.
